This refurbishment project included excavating the ground floor level and underpinning the existing foundations to improve the floor to ceiling height. We succesfully obtained planning permission to rebuild a larger closet wing and a new garden extension. The extension has large format sliding doors which open onto an decked outdoor area. The ground level consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, and a new outdoor terrace has been formed at first floor level. Although the new extension is faced in brickwork to match the existing external walls, the new brickwork has been painted gun metal grey to express the recent alterations.
